Meet our Co-Founders
Emily
Hi, I'm Emily. Originally from the North West of England, I've been involved in netball since I was nine years old. My coaching journey started not long after that, helping out at club sessions and umpiring a local Year 5/6 league. From that point on, I knew coaching and developing players was something I wanted to be a huge part of my life.
I hold a degree in Sports Coaching, a UKCC Level 2 coaching qualification (and I'm currently working towards my Level 3), as well as a C Award in umpiring. Over the years I've coached players of all ages and abilities, from complete beginners taking their first steps into netball right through to performance and elite environments.
As a player, I've competed in National and Regional Premier League competitions and NPL in the UK. Since moving to the UAE, I've played in the Active Premier Division 1 league and am currently part of the UAE Open Ladies long squad.
Having experienced first-hand how difficult it can be to get hold of netball-specific products in the UAE, we wanted to make things easier for players, parents and coaches. We saw a gap in the market and an opportunity to provide netballers with access to the products they need to train, compete and develop without the long waits or expensive international shipping costs.

Katie
Hi, I'm Katie, from South East England originally, I moved to Dubai in 2021; I'm avid lover of all things netball! I started playing at aged 9 for my local club. I competed in U14/U16 Regional and County leagues as well as U16 National Finals. Whilst studying Psychology at University, I played BUCS and East Midlands Regional.
I started my umpiring journey at aged 13, obtaining my Beginners Award and C Award soon after. Alongside studying for my A Levels, I studied for my B Award and earned this badge at 18. Although I’d done a little coaching prior, my coaching career really took off after moving to Dubai and getting involved with Dubai Hurricanes. It was here I’ve earned my Level 2 coaching qualification and found a passion for developing the next generation of ballers!
I'm passionate about every aspect of our sport and have been involved in a little bit of everything. Coaching has become one of my favourite parts of the game and building resilience and determination in players is something I hope to be able to continue.
Over the last 5 years, Netball in Dubai has grown as has the demand for quality products to help our sport become the best it can be. That’s why we created The Netball Shop DXB, to be ‘here if you need’.
